2013 in Review

Merry Christmas!

Our 2013 was filled with milestones, visits and trips (oh my!). As for milestones, early in the year Garrett was elected Senior Patrol Leader of his boy scout troop, and lead his troop in various events including their summer camp exploits in Oregon. Meanwhile, in ballet Kayla was cleared to begin full pointe training (at age 12), and was therefore on pointe for several numbers in her dance school’s version of The Nutcracker this year. And in the spring, Laurie was on a local TV show for nominating a friend as Seattle’s mom-to-be of the year.

We received several visitors this year, most notably from the Ling/Sivage family – Blake, Alexia, Carol, and Alan were all here at various times to enjoy sightseeing in Seattle with us. Speaking of sightseeing, we were able to take several trips: Garrett went to the Desperation Youth Conference in Colorado Springs; Kayla and Laurie went to Seaside OR; Laurie and Trever spent a weekend at Salish Lodge; the entire family spent spring break visiting the Redwood Forest and driving the Oregon Coast home; and our summer trip was to New Mexico and Colorado to see Mesa Verde, Durango, Silverton, Albuquerque, and Santa Fe.

For action photos of all the above (and then some), see our photos page. We wish all our friends and family the love of Jesus and a wonderful 2014!!!

Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God.
